Huge success for the bstp-cmr seminar on the 2026 finance law

Douala,January 20, 2026 –The conference hall at Bano Palace was packed this Tuesday for the awarenessseminar organized by the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange of Cameroon(SPX-CMR). Focused on the challenges and opportunities of the new 2026 financelaw (Law No. 2025/012 of December 17, 2025), the event drew more thanthirty directors of SMEs, highlighting the vital importance of fiscal policyfor the Cameroonian private sector.

High-Levelexpertise

Theworkshop was led by two seasoned experts from the SFAI Central Africafirm: Jean Paul WAFO and Chrétien TEGHUO TAMO. With precision andclarity, they deconstructed the new tax provisions, focusing on:

  • Mechanisms to obtain total tax exemptions.
  • Strategies to benefit from tax reductions of up to 50%.
  • Transitioning from the informal to the formal sector to effectively access public procurement and tenders.

High engagementBeyond expectations

In a clearsign of the relevance of the topics discussed, the session—initially scheduledfor three hours—extended well beyond the planned timeframe. The participantsraised numerous specific questions, turning the workshop into a dynamicplatform for strategic consulting and knowledge sharing. "We came withspecific concerns about how this new law would impact our cash flow, and we areleaving with clear answers. The expertise provided by the speakers wasdecisive," stated one of the Managing Directors in attendance.
