A new economic outlook report soon be published

The Cameroon Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange will release its economic outlook report for the second half of 2025 in the coming weeks.

The Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange of Cameroon (SPX-CMR) is finalizing and producing its economic outlook report for the industrial subcontracting sector for the second half of 2025. This document, which follows the report for the first half of the year already published, provides a comprehensive overview of the subcontracting sector.

The public will thus have the opportunity to learn more about the subcontracting activities carried out by local SMEs during the second half of the past year, along with all the challenges this practice entails. It will also shed light on the performance of subcontracting SMEs, among other things. The forthcoming economic outlook report also focuses on employment generated by subcontracting SMEs, the digital economy, and access to public procurement, among other topics.

The economic analysis of the subcontracting sector in Cameroon helps identify demand trends, assess stakeholder confidence, and monitor key performance indicators to guide public policies, business strategies, and local capacity-building initiatives.

As the leading information and development center for subcontracting, among other things, the SPX-CMR is committed, through the production of these economic analyses, to addressing the information gap on industrial competitiveness.

In 2019, the SPX-CMR launched a study entitled "Mapping of SMEs/SMIs" with the aim of guiding public policies for the development of the industrial subcontracting sector and its stakeholders. In 2020, the institution adopted a new decision-making tool called the "Economic Analysis of the Subcontracting Sector in Cameroon" to produce relevant and actionable information for monitoring and evaluating development strategies.
