Focus on local innovation: spx-cmr explores "zero organic waste" potential at ecobenane-value sarl in douala
As part of its profiling and industrial talent detection missions, a delegation from the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (SPX-CMR) visited the headquarters of EcoBenane-Value SARL (EBV) on February 26, 2026. At the heart of this visit : a revolutionary solution for agri-food preservation and ecological waste management.
Located in the PK11 district of Douala, EBV SARL stands out for its bold approach to the circular economy. Under the leadership of Mrs. BENANE EPOUPE Prisca Nadège, a high-level biologist specializing in environment and ecosystem biology, the company transforms plant extracts into bioactive preservation and cleaning agents.
The strength of EcoBenane-Value lies in its an aerobic fermentation process used to produce "Nature Bio Clean." This multifunctional product not only ensures the non-toxic sterilization of agri-food production lines but also allows for the preservation of fresh foodstuffs without refrigeration—a major innovation for reducing post-harvest losses in Cameroon.
Prisca Nadège Benane: an industrial captain committed to sustainability
Mrs. Benane embodies a new generation of women entrepreneurs who combine scientific rigor with industrial vision. With a team composed of industrial chemists and biochemists, she has established her expertise with demanding clients such as the Douala Bassa Technical High School and renowned restaurateurs in Bonapriso.
Her ambition goes beyond simple product sales: she aims to create a "zero solid organic waste" loop in urban environments. By treating organic waste at the source to prevent putrefaction and foul odors, EBV SARL offers a public well-being solution while creating economic value from previously neglected resources.
A wealth of solutions for SPX-CMR contractors
For the SPX-CMR, the profiling of this SME reveals a strategic partner for major accounts in the agri-food and urban sanitation sectors. Although in a growth phase with an invested capital of 8 million FCFA, the company already has a patent pending at the OAPI, a testament to its technological maturity.
"The innovation from EBV SARL addresses a critical need for environmental compliance at production sites. Its capacity to manage waste water and organic waste ecologically makes it a subcontractor of choice for industries committed to CSR," highlights an expert from the Exchange.
Currently a member of FECAPME and active in the UNIDO benchmarking process, the company is seeking technological and financial partnerships to scale up to an industrial level. For the members of the Exchange, EcoBenane-Value SARL proves that "Made in Cameroon" can be simultaneously innovative, effective, and planet-friendly, paving the way for sustainable and inclusive industrialization.
