Aaweaf 2026 in douala : a major forum to propel women's entrepreneurship into the formal economy

The city of Douala is preparing to host the 1st edition of the All African Women Entrepreneurship & Associative Forum(AAWEAF) on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Krystal Palace Hotel. Placed under the patronage of the Minister of SMEs, Social Economy, and Handicrafts, Achille Bassilekin III, this event marks a decisive step for the economic empowerment of women across the continent.

Organized by the LeadHer Association, this pan-African forum serves as a strategic crossroads for inspiring exchanges and capacity building. Beyond thematic panels and testimonials, the event innovates by offering live business creation services, thanks to the presence of the Douala Business Creation Formalities Center (CFCE). This initiative is fully aligned with the SND30 (National Development Strategy 2030) dynamics, aiming to foster the transition of women's production units toward a formal, structured, and sustainable economy.

Female leadership as a driver of reliability in subcontracting

For the SPX-CMR, the AAWEAF forum is a strategic platform to identify future champions of national and regional subcontracting. This gathering, which will bring together public policy makers, the private sector, and the diaspora, demonstrates the vitality of African female entrepreneurship. For the members of the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange of Cameroon, participating in such networks is essential for building resilient business ecosystems where women's innovation and associative leadership serve as catalysts for continental prosperity.
