As part of its mission to foster business connections and promote the local industrial fabric, the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange of Cameroon (SPX-CMR) is facilitating a series of meetings between the multinational MAGVATECH and several member companies, starting this March 27, 2026.

MAGVATECH, an international industrial group founded in the 1990s, is a leader specialized in the development and manufacturing of innovative medium voltage (MV) vacuum switchgear and smartgrid solutions. Renowned for its cutting-edge technologies used in over 130countries, the company aims to establish technical-commercial collaborations to strengthen the reliability of the Cameroonian power grid.

A strategic field visit schedule

To formalize this technology transfer and promote sustainable partnerships, a MAGVATECH delegation, led by its representative in Cameroon, Engineer Alex Marcel Ngaya, will conduct working visits to six major subcontracting companies.

Boosting competitiveness through energy innovation

For the SPX-CMR, this rapprochement is a unique opportunity for local SMEs to access high-tech circuit protection devices and vacuum circuit breakers. "The arrival of MAGVATECH within our member companies is a strong signal for the energy sector in Cameroon. This partnership is not limited to commercial transactions; it is a true transfer of expertise regarding maintenance-free and reliable equipment. For our subcontractors, it is an essential lever to move up market and meet the modernization requirements of national energy infrastructure", explains the Executive Director of the SPX-CMR.

This initiative aligns directly with the objectives of the SND30, aiming to transform the Cameroonian economy through the integration of innovative technologies and the strengthening of local industrial capacities.
