Spx and pak now bound by an agreement

The relevant agreement is contained in the four agreements signed between the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts and the Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi.

SME/SMI members of the Cameroon Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (BSTP-CMR) will now have privileges in the area of influence of the Port Authority of Kribi. An agreement on the promotion of subcontracting activities which will give them these opportunities is part of the agreements initialed on May 26 in Kribi in the presence of the Executive Director of the BSTP-CMR. The documents bear the signatures of the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA), responsible for the BSTP and the Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK).

The agreements signed are covered by a Framework Agreement which frames three specific agreements which constitute the strategic axes and the methods of collaboration for the promotion of SMEs and entrepreneurship in the area of influence of the Autonomous Port of Kribi.

The first of the three so-called specific agreements is called - specific agreement to the MINPMEESA/PAK partnership framework agreement relating to the promotion of subcontracting activities. The second is entitled - agreement specific to the MINPMEESA/PAK partnership framework agreement on the migration of actors from the informal sector to the formal sector. The third and last is called an agreement specific to the MINPMEESA/PAK partnership framework agreement relating to support for local incubation structures.

The four agreements have as common denominator the development of SMEs which constitute important elements in the value chain of port activities. “Through the support and supervision of the local actors that they are called upon to promote, these agreements should contribute to the implementation of the social responsibility of the PAK and allow the port to integrate sustainably into its environment as planned. in its strategic vision”, we argue at the PAK. MINPMEESA invites SMEs/SMIs to seize this opportunity to demonstrate their know-how and all their expertise.
