The central management of production at this electricity distribution company is now committed to primarily working with local businesses. This opens up contracts estimated in the billions of CFA francs for local SMEs.

On Monday, July 21, the Executive Directorate of the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange of Cameroon (SPX-CMR) held discussions with the central management of production at ENEO Cameroon, led by its Director and Valentin Essama, Senior Manager of Strategy, Planning, Performance, and Operational Excellence. The meeting aimed to align on the roles of each organization in the perspective of a complete nationalization of services to be carried out under the coordination of ENEO's central production management.

Ahmadou Bivoung, the Central Director of Production, after presenting this service and its role in the electricity production and distribution process, requested that SPX-CMR provide equipped SMEs capable of performing activities coordinated by his department. According to him, these services often amount to several hundred million CFA francs and require advanced skills. Many local companies already possess these skills. Ahmadou Bivoung and his department encourage those that do not have the necessary skills to seek partnerships with foreign partner companies while remaining the recognized main partner of ENEO.

Evariste Yameni expressed his satisfaction and reassured ENEO of the choice of his institution, which is best suited to address such concerns. He committed to providing ENEO with the desired service providers, from which he will only need to extract from his database of over 700 SMEs. The Executive Director also pledged to assist SMEs in seeking partnerships and announced an upcoming sectoral meeting in the form of a "Supplier Day," which will bring together selected SMEs from his database, companies already working with ENEO, and the Central Management of Production at ENEO. During this event, SMEs will be informed about current and pressing markets, future markets, and the conditions to meet in order to capture them.
