Industrial performance: spx-cmr advocates for the generalization of the kaizen method

A technical follow-up mission for the KAIZEN methodology was deployed on February 26 and 27, 2026, in Pitoa and Garoua. This offensive, focused on continuous improvement, aims to transform local processing units into champions of industrial performance.

Operational excellence is becoming the new standard for SMEs in the northern regions. Under the supervision of Mr. Ibrahima Iya, Regional Delegate, a team of experts led by Mr. Nzie Claude Olivier conducted a rigorous evaluation of production processes within flagship structures. The objective is clear: to instill the "KAIZEN" culture to optimize quality and reduce waste within agro-industrial value chains.

In Pitoa, the company SOTRARICE SARL, specialized in "Made in Cameroon" rice, received strategic support aimed at strengthening its quality protocols and consolidating its position for upcoming national competitions. In Garoua, the focus shifted to SARKI SARL, a leader in Kilichi processing and a winner of the 2025 5S KAIZEN Award. For these units, perfecting organization and performance is no longer an option but an indispensable growth lever for conquering new markets.

A lever for competitiveness in subcontracting and local content

For the SPX-CMR, the generalization of the KAIZEN method in the North Region is a strategic advancement for local content. The adoption of 5S standards and continuous improvement protocols is an essential prerequisite for SMEs wishing to integrate into the subcontracting chains of major industrial contractors.

"KAIZEN is not just amanagement method; it is a catalyst for competitiveness. By raising the quality standards of our rice and meat producers, we are preparing a new generation of subcontractors capable of meeting the volume and compliance requirements of both national and sub-regional markets," analyzes an SME development expert.

This performance dynamic, supported by MINPMEESA, ensures that local companies do not merely produce, but do so according to international excellence standards. By transforming every operational challenge into an opportunity for progress, the North Region is laying the ground work for a resilient industry, where the quality of "Made in Cameroon" becomes an indisputable selling point on the economic stage.
